Respected experts,
My car was stolen in May 2015, the insurance claim was settled after 8 months of mental torture and harrasment.
My car was 14 months old when it was stolen, I had renewed the policy after 12 months and the idv was 80% of initial ex showroom price.
I had done some partial payment of my car loan hence idv was more than my loan outstanding amount with the bank.
The insurance company had a weird requirement of receving loan closure documents before the claim could be settled which bank was not comfortable with.
I had no choice but to close the loan by arranging for the loan outstanding amount and then finally received the whole of claim settlement amount in my account.
Could you please help me understand if this claim settlement amount of idv would be taxable as per IT laws.
Logically the idv of a car can never be more than the depreciation value of the car. but wanted some expert suggestions on this matter.
Please feel free to reach me on sachin0103@gmail.com in case you need additional details pertaining to this.
Appreciate your guidance on this issue.

Sachin Gole.

This is quiet a old case registered in 2010. charge sheet had been files in lower court but IO had made some mistakes in that charge sheet like there was a diary written by girl who commit suicide and few more proofs of false FIR. After that once accused contacted some senior official in police then SP made a report saying "if noted proofs would be considered and checked in investigation and if all proofs are true then there should not be any charge against accused." Based on that report a re-investigation had been started. Since Local police started doing same linger on so accused had made a application to authorities and case was transferred to CBCID. CBCID had provided clean chit in same. But Meanwhile once CBCID was in process opponent went to high court saying that CBCID is being done to help accussed and after 2 years his petition was allowed by highcourt. but before petition was allowed CBCID report (clean chit) was submitted in lower court. This is just to notify that no arrest have been made till now in this case. Now we want to go in supreme court as we are not getting any relief for lower & high court so please suggest what should be possible way to do the same. Also is there any chance that supreme court will hear us as till now there is no relief from any court.
Hi,
My father died in a suspicious car accident in the month of June/15 and has a policy with one of the insurance company.
The nominee on the policy is one of the cousins with whom we have disputes with and are not in talking terms. It seems that the nominee who is not one of the legal heirs is either not aware of the existence of this policy or for some reason showing no interest in filing a claim. There has been no claim submitted until now.
As a legal heir can we file the claim from the insurance company? If we can what should be our approach?
Policy was taken from Angul-Odisha when my father was working there however our permanent address is Pune-Maharashtra. Is it possible for us to start a claim or any legal process from Pune itself?

Wife laid false allegations of dowry and 498a ,307, 420 etc. Her parents spoke all the false allegations at my relatives house. at that time case was not filed in the court. The case is filled on those false allegations and anyway I'm going to win the case. I want file defamation because she had criminal intentions to defame and the case has caused mental agony for us. How to file defamation case (suggest me on civil, criminal or tort) how long it may take and what is the procedure for it? What kind of proof do we need to submit?
Respected Experts
I am working in central Government hospital. I would like to ask about theft of Medical instruments from Hospital. I was on duty. And a Multipurpose monitor from hospital was stolen by someone. As that monitor was not in use for long, I could not notice its absence. we filed FIR, but administration recovered the whole amount from our salary. At that time there was no watchmen appointed for security purposes. But I heard that supreme court has said in its judgment that, nurse should not be held responsible for any theft, damage or nonfunctional status of any instrument in hospitals. But I don't have copy of that. Can me provide with existing law for that plz.
Dear experts,
My father is a very dutiful son and takes care of his aged parents and caters to all their expenses. I have two paternal aunts who always shirk away from their duties as daughters and have in the past gone on long vacations while my dad used to sit for hours into the night with my grandfather in the hospital. My grandfather is 90 years of age and is unable to think clearly anymore and very unfortunately my grandmother always misguides him and goes to the extent of loading my aunts with gifts who do almost nothing for them whereas my father who bears their expenses gets nothing in return. My grandfather is a retired Air Force officer and gets a high pension package but has been taught by his wife to not contribute to any of the expenses. I do not want an ugly situation to come up when my grandfather passes away nor do I want my father to be devoid of what rightfully should be his so I wanted to know whether my dad can claim the property and money left later or not?
I am studying law currently and knowing my aunts I am pretty sure that later on they are going to turn around and ask for their share of inheritance even though they hardly even come to meet them. My father is extremely gullible and does not see all of this coming. Pretty obviously he has a lot on his shoulders, my brother's education needs to be catered for and I am just in my first year of law. Please do tell me what can be done? And whether there are any provisions in the Hindu Succession Act under which the person who provides for the parents gets the benefit?
Many thanks and regards :)
Unprobated will after death
Will is registered by a deceased person before her death. Property is used by her relative who does not have any legal right on the property. In the will deceased person clearly stated that after her death the immovable property has to be transferred to some other relative other than the person who presently lives in that property. Whether the person who lives now is forced to vacate the propert, if you he will is probated?
