I worked in a call centre for 4 years 7 months. All of us are employed with 2 days off in a week 2 two days off are different for employees since our company in functional 24x7. (5 days working for all employees in a week).
After releiving, when I checked with HR,
They said what I have read in the Gratuity Act is correct. 190 days for establishment which works less than six days. But our establishment works all 7 days. So it has to be 240 days & you are not eligible.
Please share your thoughts.
Am I eligible? if so, what I should do to get gratuity.

All MC Committee responsible for good/loss to society & for taking any decision.
I want to know how MC member can safe or make non-responsible himself if he doesn't agree with resolution or decision taken which can be harmful or might illegal for society ?
MC takes decision but some MC member dont agree then what is remedy available with him (keeping part of MC) to safe himself from such wrong decision.
MC doesnt make note of disagree point in resolution. Then why person be responsible for which he was not agreed.

I have been working in iit guwahati as a project assistant since November 2011. My contract was till December 2015. But it was supposed to be renewed in january as our tenure is extended in every 3 months. All my project mates got extension letter through mail on 28/1/2016 except me. When i asked our pi (project in charge) about the same he just said that i will get extension but did mot say when. Then i gave him a written application asking for any updates regarding my extension. He didnot reply. Then i asked R&D section R&D section looks after everything related to projects in iitg). They also didnot reply to my mail. Now what should i do.

If a govt employee who is a subordinate proceed for a contempt proceedings against a district collector who is his boss, what will be the effect throughout his service.
That my father has instituted inventory proceeding upon death of late uncle (step uncle who is issueless) with respect property registered in his late uncle. That my father has enclosed death certificate of his father and also of his uncle. however death certificate of his grandfather is not available as such affidavit of three witnesses have been enclosed. Now the cousin brothers of my fathers uncle (estate leaver) have pressurize one of the witness whose affidavit is enclosed in the inventory Proceeding to change his affidavit and they have challenge the inventory stating that by my father has pressurized the witness to execute affidavit before notary.

1. whether cousin brothers of estate leaver can challenge inventory Proceeding which was instituted by the legal heirs?
2. What will happen in the appeal in this case?
I am currently working as a LDC in BORDER ROADS ORGANISATION FOR LAST SEVEN YEARS. DUE TO LACK OF PROMOTION. THEY ARE FILLING VACANCIES THROUGH SSC AND STILL THEY ARE NOT GIVING PERMISSION TO US FOR APPLYING IN OTHER DEPARTMENTS. PLZ ADVICE ME
I stay in a rented house in hyderabad.My landlord stays in ground floor and his daughter in first floor and we stay on the second floor.his daughter is harrassing us a lot by stating that they are lot of sounds coming from our house in the midnight wherein we sleep by 9 pm as i have 2 small kids at home.They do not give our electricity bill neither do we know where the electric meter is. They are collecting 500rs towards water and almost half a month no water comes.Now they even locked the common terrace and not letting us dry clothes. On top of that they are switching of the power as we do not know where the meter is and their son in law is threatening that he is from a big caste and that no one can do anything to him. My husband works in a different place and i stay with my 2 kids.Could anyone help me as to how can i proceed to stop these illegal acts of the landlords.The previous tenants also complained the same
Our sugar unit is supplying mollasses of Season 2015-16 to our distillery unit for supply of ethanol to Oil Marketing Companies.Both sugar unit & distillery units have separate registration under Central Excise.Is the Sugar unit liable to pay excise duty @Rs.75/qtl.before transfer of mollasses to distillery unit.Please clarify
