My friend's mother died intestate leaving four sons and four daughters . She had a commercial property in her name in a town of punjab, the property is in lal lakir. Two sons had already got their share of property thro written agreement years ago. How the property would be transferred to the heirs?

I have a paying guest and for the last 6 months I had paid the electricity bill at non- commercial rate. But today AE came for inspection and asked for a huge penalty.
What would be the penalty amount for paying electricity bill at residential rate rather than commercial rate

my daughter is married in 2012. at the time of marriage they make it clear that there will be no dowry at all but they asked the special care of baraties with chicken,mutton fish wishky etc and we happily done that. after marriage when my daughter entered in here laws house she was surprised to note that no any after marriage ceremonies were performed by her inlaws. she did not mind it another surprising was they did not offered any cloths to put on and she used her own cloths which were given to her by us. but did not mind it at all. at the time of ring ceramony it was deceded by both the families that girl will countinue her job (she is working class-I officer in Govt. Job)
after the marriage physically and mentally tourture of my daughter was started by her husband and supported by his parents. they never came to meet her wife where she is working every time my daughter went to her husband. my daughter husband frequently asked her money and my daughter transferred the amount on line every time he asked to re-charge his mobile and my daughter asked her husband to come to meet her and she was surprised to hear that he will not come to her and this was also supported by her parents also.in the last oct.2014 shen my daughter went tomeet her husband he clearly says that he will going to leave her and asked her to leave my house. my daughter came to us in very dipressed manner and now she told us that while on the way she was thinking about succide. we take the case with the parrents of my son-inlaw and meeting at their residence and they assured us for reasonable solution. but in the august this year they clearly repeat the wording of their son that they will not keep my daughter. please advise me to wqhat to do. should we go for 498A

My wife filed a false police complaint followed by a DV case when I refused to pay the amount she wanted for a divorce. Under the guidance of my lawyer I filed for a divorce and the case is in mediation. My questions are :- 1. How trust worthy are the mediators. ( they keep asking me to pay more money) 2. My wife was working and quit her job well after filing all these charges. I assume her next step is filing for maintenance. How can I protect my self as I earn very well and I presume this may be a tactic to get my income out. Is she even eligible for maintenance ( she was employed and left her job after filing all these cases). 3. I have been harassed every step of the way and it doesn't seem to stop. Should I just pay up or do I switch gears and start gathering evidence for a long drawn legal battle.

Legal notice sent asking to make payment within 15 days on 13/12/2006
15 days from above notice was 28/12/2006
Case filled and admitted in court at Chennai on 14/02/2017 without condone delay.
Now shall I object on late submission .or which way I can protest?

I filed my IT return for AY 14-15 in Feb 2015 (Very late). I also got my refund electronically in June 2015.
On 22nd Sep I got an email from a gmail id asking me to appear personally or through a lawyer to the Civic Centre, New Delhi office for "further details". I want to know a few things from our experts here:
1. Is this a fake notice as it has come from a gmail id?
2. U/s 43 (2) the notice should be sent within 6 mths of te end of AY. I filed my returns late so I am not sure whether this still applies.
3. I've got my refund and this notice comes after that -is this possible?
4. There is no attachment in the email, no reference number - is this suspicious?
5. The ward number mentioned in the email is not the same as that associated with my PAN (I checked on the IT Department's site).
Pls advise what to do. I am not in India currently and cannot appear for verifying it personally.

Relevancy of marking statement u/s 161 crpc
Some of the courts are marking a portion of statement u/s 161 CrPC after declaring the witness as hostile. Whether this is a correct practice?
