Sir,
I have joined in Country club on 8th April 2005, based on the leaflet advertisement shown by their marketing agent. I was requested by them subsequently to make payment for the membership. I went to the club premises at Guindy, Chennai and I made the payment through my cr.card. After that I visited the club and found nothing is free for the members and we were asked to pay for any kind of use. Only the Gymnasium was there and it was not sufficient to accommodate the members at a time. I was not impressed and asked them to cancel my membership and refund my amount paid. They promised the club will get improvement soon after getting some more members. I wrote a letter and sent them an email also(during April and May 2005 itself) for cancelling the membership. I had never used the club on any occassion. Now they have sent me a letter consolidating the annual maintenance fees to be paid by me. What can I do? Please explain in detail. Thanking you for your valuable advise and guidance.
I have deposited Rs.5 lac as fixed deposit for one year with TN Power Finance Corpn.Dev.Corporation- a statutory body of Govt.of Tamilnadu. The Fixed deposit has conditions that there will be a minimum lock period of 3 months and there will not be any interest for the deposit if it is withdrawn within 6 months. This being the position,I withdraw the Fixed deposit after the lock period of 3 months. The TN Power Fin.Corporation refused to pay interest to me as the withdrawal of deposit is within 6 months.I think such a condition of forgoing interest for fixed deposit if withdrawn within 6 month is unjust and illegal.Whether I am entitled to claim interest for 3 month period during which the fixed deposit is at the hands of the TN Power Fin.Corporation.Whether the Interest Act,1978 will come to my rescue. If I am entitled for interest, to whom I shall approach for remedial action
Hi Experts,
Suppose there is a partnership firm named XY Services & the partners are Mr. X & Mr. Y. But for some legal constraints Mr. X & Mr. Y want to transfer their ownership to Mr. A & Mr. B but want to have the firm name same i.e. XY Services. Is it possible to change the ownership without changing the firm's name ? If YES then How & if NO then Why ?

can anybody tell me that whether more than two proprietorship firms can become partners in a existing partnership firm by closing their existing prop. firms. If yes?
1.what will happen of assets and liabilities and capital of prop. firms.what will be the value on which they will be tranferred.
2.what will be the stamp duty on transfer of assets to the partnership firms.
3.what will happen of various licenses taken by prop. firms under various laws for doing the business.

No lien on land. After some years B declared insolvency. {it is yet to confirm weather B declared it in the court or not. I don't know weather there was any liquidator appointed by court}The factory was closed since then. B never paid rent even when factory was running. There is a case in the court for not paying rent.NOW THE QUESTION IS HAS THE CO-OP.BANK OR B ANY RIGHT TO THE LAND? HOW CAN A GET POSSESSION OF HIS LAND?
