Loan given to a friend refusing to return the money

Respected Sir/Madam

I had taken a loan from a bank against my property for the purpose of developing the same property.A friend had helped me to get that loan, there by gaining my trust. Now since i did not need the entire loan all at once since the property is built in phases and the payments are also made accordingly, this friend suggested that we give 40% of the loan amount to the bank and save interest.so he took a cheque from me in his name and later told me since the bank was giving less interest,I have given the money to a private party for 6 months,so i asked him to give me receipt on a plane paper with details of the cheque. After 6 mnths he said that the party has vanished with the money and he will give the money to me once he catches that person. Now what can i do can i go to court and if I can, is it any use.It is a very big amount and I am paying a lot of interset on it.It is going to be 2 yrs since i gave him the money.

Thanks and Regards
Vishal

Power Of Public Officer

Respected Experts,
Can a Public Officer(administrative), put his signature on an order in back date? Or An operative order was passed 2 months back without the signature of the officer, by the subordinate staffs i. e. clerks, later to validate it the officer, who has joined the office recently has put his signature, which was supposed to be done by his predecessors.
Is it allowable?
If not, what should be done?
Plz. suggest/guide.
Thanks and regrds,

WHAT WE ARE AFRAID OFF?

DEAR ALL,

TIME AND AGAIN GOVERNMENT AFTER GOVERNMENT HAVE FAILED TO SOLVE THE KASHMIR IMPASSE PROBLEM - WE (BOTH INDIA AND PAK GOVERNMENT AND ORDINARY CITIZENS) HAVE FAILED (OR RATHER ABUSED) THE RIGHT OF PEACEFUL LIFE AND COEXISTENCE ON EITHER SIDE OF BORDER. MY QUESTION TO LCI BRETHEREN IS "WHETHER WE DO NOT HAVE ANY FAITH IN INTERNATIONAL COURT OF JUSTICE OR WAITING FOR THE DAY WHEN WE WILL HAVE VETO RIGHT IN UN" - OR CONTINUANCE OF THIS PROBLEM IS ON ACCOUNT OF LACK OF FORSIGHTEDNESS - OR THE CASE IN HAND IS AN ADMISSION OF FAILURE OF DIPLOMACY AND AN UNENDING WAIT FOR OPPORTUNATE MOMENT WILL CONTINUE TO CAST MISERY FOR COMMON PERSON IN KASHMIR?

KINDLY COMMENT

BEST REGARDS

DAKSH

Associate membership for Housing Society

I am one of the office bearer in housing society situated in mumbai falls under Maharashtra Housing Society Act 1960.

One of the member of the Society is not paying dues ( seasoned defaulter ) of the society since 15 years. His flat is in the joint name with his wife.

Now he wants to nominate his elder son as a associate members of the Society. My question is that is it necessary that should society acknowledge his request and accept his son as an associate members and if it is yes then under which provision of the act?
