Under what sections and provision can the following the IT Returns :
1. a Labour supplier for loading & Unloading, Other manpower.
2. A Forest Contractor engaged in cutting of trees.
Also Sector 44 A D provides for only civil contractors etc.now but prior to this amendment which section is applicable PL. guide

ours is a partnership firm.we purchased a piece of land in firm's name to do the business.There are 2 partners including me.My partner intends to retire from the firm by settelling all his accounts.After the retirement of my partner I shall become a proprietor and I wish to sale the land after his retirement.The long term capital gain will be a hefty amount.Is there any scheme to save the long term capital gain tax? Please advice what to do?

Our father died intestate and I got unlisted shares of a co. as my share in December 2009. My cost of aquisition in this case is nil. What will be tax implication if I sell these shares now or after holding them till Jan. 2011.

Our Company is getting some documents Translated from Chinese Language to English by a Chinese Company. The Services are being rendered in China.
Will this be treated as Fee for TEchnical Services and therefore attract withholding tax u/s 195.
