I am from kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. My father died intestate leaving his wife 3 sons and two daughters.
My father had acquired ansestral agricultural proerty. Now there is no agricultural activities on this land but it is agricultural as per the records of the Lekhpal.
As far as my knowledge heirs for such property would be all sons and his wife as per UPZLR Act.
My question is whether daughters will have right in such property?
Dear sir,
We are three (two brother and one sister) our parents owned two properties among them one land along with ground floored house and second one with open space land which got registered, but due to some legal dispute by the Government it was put on hold by the Govt. for any further registration till Court Direction for asking extra compensation under Land Regularisation Scheme (LRC) to be paid by land owner to Government.
Now among the three my sister is asking for share of property for the one which is undisputed and other part of the property may be distributed later after the Court order. If not she wants ot Proceed to court for partition property.
Do we have right to contest that till other property (Under Court) is cleared by the Government or court. Till than No partition can be done.
Please Guide,

Ours is a CHS in Pune.As our builder did not provide us promised amenities like Swimming pool, clubhouse etc nor did he make conveyance deed,we engaged a lawyer who filed a criminal case against the builder for not making conveyance deed.As per the lawyer going to consumer court to get the compensation is a waste of time as very few societies get proper compensation and is a very time consuming process.Instead he says once the builder gets summons from the court he will automatically come forward for settlement. Is the view of the lawyer in not going to consumer court and filing criminal case against the builder to get compensation correct? I want expert opinion on this. Our case against the builder is very strong as he has not even handed over any accounts to society nor did he come forward to form the society. We did it on our own.

Sir
I have a 4 cent site near Pollachi, Coimbatore area, DTP approved. I bought
it before 2 years. I have bought this land from a layout promoter. I heard that
PATTA is needed for this site. Now a days, patta is given along with registration documents, but before 2 years, patta had to be applied separately.
Can you tell me how to obtain patta? Is it a tedious process? Do I have to
frequently visit the government offices for this? Do I have to go to the
Registrar office or go to VAO? How much time it will take and what will be
the amount to be spent for this? I also want to know the use of "patta".
Is patta necessary to for apply for bank loans for house construction?
Can RTI be used to obtain patta? or will the govt officials get angry if I use RTI?

my father and my maternal uncle bought a plot and constructed a house. We have been living in the house since then. Both my father and uncle died and now I and my uncle's son are their heirs. My uncle's son says he is unemployed and wants money to start his own business and therefore the house must be sold. The plot has a narrow width and partition will not only spoil the structure but will leave us at a disadvantage. We want to live in the house. I have offered him a solution that I will pay the cost of his part of property but I can only pay in instalments. He wants a lumpsum amount. He is threatening to file a partition suit. We are worried because he has a greater share 140 sq. yds. as against my share 65 sq. yds. Will the court give his wish more importance as he holds a greater share. How can we solve this problem.
