Boss wants exit from company

Please guide me on this corporate employee related matter. It is evident that due to pandemic scenario business and workings of all employee had been adversely effected. Still he tried to cope up well with scenario and gave his level best. At the time of yearly appraisal where he can be given such rating so that he can be at least retained in the company, his boss, to setlle his grudges and utilising his chance of finally taking his revenge, he gave him worst appraisal feedback so that he would be exited from the company. Please advice.

Annual Performance Report of an employee has to be shown to concerned officer, if it is adverse, where the employee has a right to challenge before Reviewing Officer.

You may take up the matter with the senior level. Moreover, legally, no one can be compelled to exit their job without following the due process.

For an employee's appraisal, I opine, it will be taken for three consecutive years and not for one year's adverse remark,

The immediate boss has portrayed the scenario to upper level boss in his own terms. They see through his specs. Still he is trying to speak to senior management and get an impartial review done. Also now he thinks he should also teach a lesson to his immediate boss for all such bitter and non supportive behaviour. Hr team also did not worked effectively inspite of his many reminders.
Please advice if things doesn't go as per his planning is it advisable to take a legal step .

Te adverse appraisal report if accepted and an adverse impact was created on your career, you may first exhaust the remedy of making a representation to the top management of the organisation.
If your representation do not fetch a proper relief then you can plan to resort to legal action as per provisions of law.
