Bar exam

(Querist) 19 January 2012 This query is : Resolved

Dear Sir/Madam
I wrote the supplementary examination of the academic year 2008-2009 conducted in February 2010 . I graduated and received my certificate for the same on the 17 th April 2010 before the resolution date ( 30 April 2010) of BCI making compulsory to write AIBE.As I graduated before the date of resolution and before the examination of the academic year 2009-2010.I am in doubt whether I should write the exam or not.
Kindly advice me on this.
Yours truly

You have to.

Otherwise, you would have applied for registration before 30th April 2010.

As you failed to apply for registration before 30th April 2010, you have to appear the exam.

The examination only applies to students graduating from academic year 2009-10 onwards. If your law degree was awarded prior to 2009-10, there is no requirement to appear for the All India Bar Examination in order to qualify to practice law in India.

so registration is not the main role for it

The notification applies to students graduating from academic year 2009-10 onwards.

So, In my opinion, you have to appear in AIBE examination.

One question to you that what have you done between 2010 to 2012.
