(Querist) 29 January 2021 This query is : Resolved
Respected Sir, I am Served in Indian army 10 years ,but Discharge from service with reason OSL (deserter) and I am not a pension holder can i apply Govt Jobs with ESM-Category resevation yes or not ? and if not how can my age realaxation of 10 years period now I am 33 years old.,I want age relaxation please give me suggestion
Quick Summary
An individual with 10 years of service in the Indian Army was discharged under the OSL (deserter) category and is not a pensioner. They are inquiring whether they can apply for government jobs using the Ex-Servicemen (ESM) category reservation, given they are 33 years old and seek age relaxation. Based on previous clarifications, being a deserter and not a pensioner generally disqualifies one from being classified as an Ex-Servicemen for reservation purposes.

What is ESM category?
Dr J C Vashista (Expert) 31 January 2021
It is Ex-Servicemen.
The author is not covered in the catagory of ESM being deserter vis-a-vis convicted.

on other threads you have been clarified that without being a pensioner one cannot be ESM
