Answer to notices

Hi All,

Just wanted to check the response time for any legal notice received.

I believe earlier there was no specific time limit for it. However, is there any new rule or bare act that specifies about responding to a legal notice in certain time period?

First of all there is no legal duty to reply every notice sent to one and there is no time limit to reply the notice of someone wishes to do the same.

no such rule . however it is in your interest to reply to legal notice at the earliest

There is no time period specified for replying. However, normally the notice specifies a date to comply with the demand mentioned in the notice. Replying the legal notice may stand beneficial at a later date.
