Dear Experts.
Please guides us.
We are running a Trust, We are planning to take 1 acres Agriculre land on Lease basis from a farmer (A relaive) for opening a College.
Please Guide what kind of legal Formalities we need to complete.
As per our home work.
'
1. we need to make a lease agreement with Trust & a Farmer.
2. we need to convert the land into non Agricultural land.
Question.
1. when we filed application for non agriculral land before / after lease agreement?
2.what is the free & form format?

There is no hurdle to take the agricultural land on lease for a definite period. The Change of land use is required to be applied only after you get the registration of lease deed. Apart from this change, you have to fulfil entire requirement of education department which do not seem part of your query. so far as fee is concerned, it is different from place to place and quality of land so better enquire it from your area revenue office.
