I want to buy 1 Acre. Agricultural land in a small village GONDAWALE near SATARA, MAHARASHTRA.Can a non farmer buy a Agri.land.What are the rules for that? Can i do a farming as my side business.

non farmer can buy the agrl., land with the permission of the assistant commissioner of the concerned dist.,or taluka. If your ancestors are even agrl., coolies you can purchase the land without the permission of the AC

The Local Revenue acts to be verified about permissions and it is better to contact local Advocate in this matters as it is a matter under Maharashtra Revenue & Agricultural Local Laws
