I just want to know who can file FIR (the REGISTAR or private person) u/s Sec 82 of the registration act

Police can write sec 82 in Fir

Criminal law can be put into motion by any person thus any stranger can lodge a complaint or the Sub-Registrar or any other aggrieved person may file such complaint.

Under Sec.82 of Indian Registration Act, only the Officer with such power can launch a prosecution. The private party cannot complain under Sec.82 of IR Act.

Section 82 of the Indian Registration Act, 1908 provides for penalty for making false statements, delivering false copies or translations, impersonation and abatement which can be initiated by the Registrar and not a private person.
