can commissioner for w .c. act empowered dependents investigation after passing the award in favour of applicant?

Yes, He is to ascertain that who is entitle to get the award amount and if there are more than one dependents then he is to ascertain that what should be the ration of distribution so the investigation about dependents is mandatory.
