Undivided property

(Querist) 31 August 2012 This query is : Resolved
sir,

if the property is purchased by a person(father) a (resindental property)on loan, in his own name but the installments of the loan was paid by his sons(four sons but only three have paid the installment in addition to father, as the fourth son was minor and has no source of income ),then what would be the status of the property, would it be a self acquired property of the father.

and in that property can the father give partition to two of his sons while leaving the other two.

Do the grand sons have any right on that property.would the property be ancestral property for the grand sons..

The property is a joint property and the sons who contributed in paying the consideration money has share in it and hence can claim their share by way of partition suit.
