Transfer of tenancy

BSNL have become successors of DOT and in tenancy agreement there is a successor clause,so they are tenants in place of DOT. My query is under what law BSNL are successors to Deptt.of Telecom ?

If the term of the tenancy agreement is subsisting, BSNL will succeed to the DoT for the remaining term of the tenancy. This must be contained in the tenancy agreement with the DoT itself.

Govt. of India had passed a Gazette Notification in the year 2000 vide which BSNL is successor of DOT. I can tell you exact detail of notification, if you remind me on tomorrow during court hour.
