Transfer of share in flat

Hi,

I live in a flat in a cooperative society owned by my deceased grandmother and grandfather(they died in early 2000s).The left no will and my mother and her brother were their only children and my mother died when i was very young.After my father left my uncle(mama) raised me.
I am leaving for job abroad next year and before i go i wish to transfer my share to his name.
What would be the procedure?

apply for succession certifcate and have flat transferred in name of leagl heirs . contact a local lawyer

Only a succession certificate would be needed?
Can you give an idea of the procedure required and amount of time it will take?
