Dear Sir,
What is the procedure for transfer of property from parent's (mother) name to her son,in a CHS ?
What documentation is required for the same ?
PPJ
Quick Summary
Transferring property from a mother to her son in a Cooperative Housing Society (CHS) typically involves executing a registered gift deed. Your mother, as the absolute owner, can gift the property to you. This deed must be registered at the registrar's office where the property is located. Following registration, you can update revenue records and then apply to the CHS for the share certificate transfer according to the society's bylaws.

Is it not allowed to register the deed in city other then where the property is located ,considering advanced age of my mother and she being with me in other city due to my job ?

If your mother is the absolute owner of the property with clear and marketable title and if she is desirous of transferring this property in the CHS to your name, then she first have to transfer the property to your name by executing a registered gift/settlement deed after which you can mutte the revenue records to your name on the basis of the registered transfer deed.
After that you can apply for transfer of share certificate to your name by complying with the procedures as per bylaws of the society.
