Token amount can be refundable

Dear Sir,
my Dad had given a token Amount of Rs. 1 Lakh to a Car dealer for Scorpoi Car as due to no Fund flow my Dad is unable to give balance money so the dealer is saying that he will not give the token amount return plz help me

was moeny given by cheque? was any receipt issued? was it mentioned that in event of failure to pay balance amount advance will be forfeited?

issue legal notice to dealer . file complaint before cionnsumer forum

what is the terms and conditions of booking of car?

read it carefullly.... if there is no clause, which says not refunding of deposit amount then.... go to consumer forum for refund. but it would be better before this, also issue legal notice through advocate.

we have given cheque and also have receipt of acceptance in payment terms they have not mentioned any terms & condition so shall i issue a notice or go to consumer forum
