How can use the designation "Tax Consultant" ? What qualification he must have ? Any Registration required ? In India, which law defines this particular issue ? Please add any supporting documents/articles if available.

The word consultant is a term which is very loosely used in India. Anybody claiming knowledge,whatever be the extent or quality, in any field can call himself a consultant in that field. No registration of any sort is required for doing so.

Yes even persons having just a B.Com degree claims to be tax consultants at par with CAs.
