What is difference between partition and inheritance?

Partition means the division of property
between co-owners, so that each gets an individual share.
Inheritance means to receive property or money as an heir after the owner’s
death.

partition can be a right of claim of one of co-sharer of the property.

Dividing a property is a Partition through Partition deed or Suit for partition

Inheritance is any property which comes from ancestors after their life time.

Eg: through Will
