Step parent adoption

Sir

I am from Chennai, Tamilnadu, India. My ex husband left away 8 years back and I have 2 daughters (19 & 17) with me and I got divorce and was remarried. My husband wants to adopt my daughters. Is step parent adoption is possible. Please do reply

No, only genetic father has right to give a child in adoption. If your previous husband gives these children in adoption to your new husband then only it is possible. However if ur pre. husband dies then you would get the right to give adoption.
