Hi Sir/Madam,

I have applied for Vehicle registration and it was approved in the month of September 2020. Till now I did not receive physical card but was updated on RTO mobile site. Recently Govt. of India announced to use mobile platform and not to carry original vehicle document like RC and
DL.

My question: If I want to travel outside of the Telangana State, Do I still require the physical card or a copy. Or it is valid to show through mobile app RTA mWallet or mparivahan/Digi-locker?

Practically it is advisable to carry DL card with you.

Technically, authorities are are bound by law. However, there could be situations where they may not be amenable to reason.

Sometime ego of the other side may put drivers in awkward situation. Possibility of immediate relief ma be remote in such roadside area.

Making video by smartphones is proving beneficial in such condition to the drivers.
