(Querist) 18 December 2012 This query is : Resolved
We are on rented property from 65 yrs in south gujarat. Now owner have sold the whole property. We are 12 tenants but not together as society by law. Current owner is planning to redevelop the whole land (around 10000 sq. feet). He is offering to make owner agreement for us.

What should be the steps we have to take to ensure smooth transition ??
What are the legal procedure and steps ??
How can we ensure and protect our rights ??

Pls. Help.

The new owner is providing you ownership, this is a lottery for you. It shall be better to have a tripartite agreement between you tenants, builder and owner containing each and every condition and this agreement should be got registered.

For contents of the agreement, take the help of local lawyer.
