You can convince your wife to cooperate with you to maintain the family. You shall try to settle the issue amicably. If necessary, take the help of your parents, her parents, and other elders to solve the problem. Otherwise, there is a chance that she may file a false case under 498 A then you shall engage an advocate for your defense.

You hae having multiple thread with multiple partial facts

In another thread you stated 50% gold is with you.

what do you mean with 50% of your gold. entire gold givne by either sides is property of wife and retention part of the same makes you criminally liable both inder IPC (cognisable andnon bailable) and Dowry Act.

better not to meddle with police .
