Dipali Kumari, an Indian citizen who completed her schooling in Nepali and graduation in India, is married in India. She inquired about her eligibility to apply for an Indian passport. Based on Indian nationality law, which prioritises citizenship by descent, she is eligible because she holds Indian citizenship and is married within India.

The nationality law of India is primarily based on citizenship by right of blood and not citizenship by right of birth within a territory. As you have Indian citizenship and are married in India, you are eligible for a passport.
