Hello,

A registered sale deed has been made in the year 1965 for agricultural land situated in Bharuch, Gujarat. I only have the revenue survey number to hand for this land and the registered sale deed has degraded heavily to an extent in which it cannot be read. How can I obtain a copy of this registered sale deed? from where can I get it? what details will be required to get a copy of it and also how much will it cost?

1. You can apply to get a certified true copy of such sale deed from the sub-registrar where such deed was registered. The cost would be nominal and that can be easily ascertained when submitting such application.
2. Also if such sale deed was registered in 1965 then the copy or index copy of it must have been submitted to the village Talati for endorsement of the fact of sale of such survey number in the record of rights form No. 6 maintained at the village revenue office.i.e. grampanchayat.
