Dear Experts,
Can u please tell me in which act it is mentioned that a person can have one ration card in his/her name.Is holding two ration cards a offence?

It can be offence under various heads of IPC.

Though PDS(Contrl) Order of 2001, doesnot state any penalty. SC in some order in 2003/ 2004 in a PIL filed by PUCL had asked state and central govts. to wean out bogus/ duplicate ration cards and prosecute them in provisions of giving false information and falsifying records.

Don't think any seperate law is promulgated for the same.
