Powers of Bar Association?

Hi!
I am a member of Jalgaon District Bar Association. I am running free sms facility for members of Jalgaon Bar Association.
I have sent an sms desclosing that the executive body of Jalgaon Bar Association has acted against resulution passed by Jalgaon Bar Association itself.
Now the president of our bar association and other are threatening me that they are going to expel me from bar association and wants me to stop sms facility which is in fact highly appreciated by almost all members of our bar; because they are getting benefit of this sms facility (I am providing through sms advance information regardimg the LEAVE of judges in Jalgaon district).
I want some clarification/help from you on fallowing points:
Whether bar association has right to expel me from the association?

What remedy is available to a lawyers is expelled from bar association without valid reasons?
What is the role of state bar council in this type of matters.

Please help me by providing your valuable guidance.

Mr. Jaino,
Go through Advocates Act. The Bar association
Is not a controlling body for advocates.
About Threats you you can fight.A Bar Has no such right to expel and it will not concern with your profession.Come on yar Not a big deal.

Btw can a member of bar association demand for certified copies of a resulution passed by it?
What iremedy other than RTI is available if bar association arbitrarily denied to supply certified copies?

Yes. A member can always ask for copies,certified or otherwise of any resolution passed by the Bar Association. In fact, resolutions are meant to be circulated so that a member of bar association can come to know about it.

Dear friend.. A bar counsel mean its for welfare of advocates only.. If your activities anything against your local bar mean your bar association may be cancel your membership. Even its won't give any problem to your profession. You may do your work as usual.. If you can make some supports to you.. And arranged a general body meeting.. The members may decide that you may be dismissed from the bar or no need..
