perks and allowances

How can you differentiate between "Perquisites" and "Allowances"?

Allowances is the money you get by cash along with your salary. Perks is the benefits enjoy for being the employee. These bills will be paid by the employer, you can not encash it.

Perks :- Car, House, Driver, Phone etc.
