My in father in law and his brother partitioned their house from common wall, the house is 100yrs old. Uncle's portion demolished by promoters, the partition wall fractured and some problem are there, when we ask them to repair wall, the purchaser claimed 40% width wall belongs to him and for this he can demolish the wall as slice of cake. They build 4 storey building over there there are 3ft gap only between 2 house. What should we do, can he claim the partition wall?
A family is experiencing a dispute after a shared partition wall between two houses, one 100 years old, was fractured when one portion was demolished by developers. The purchaser of the demolished section claims ownership of 40% of the wall and has built a four-storey building with only a 3ft gap. Legal advice suggests consulting a local lawyer with all relevant partition deeds and purchaser documents.

The documents relate to the partition deed and the purchaser's document need to be verified with relevant material. So please consult a local lawyer with the material you have for guidance.
