NON RETURNING OF ADVANCE MONEY

Sir, I was using a premises as a Beauty Parlour for Ladies, but last Aug 2010 I have verbally spoken to Landlord that I will wind up my biz in the next three months and finally in Nov 2010 I have written to Landlord that I am vacating your premises and requested him to return my advance money, but till now he has not returned the same to me and always postponing his commitment of returning the same. Pls guide me what step I should take now. It is almost seven months he is holding my money.

In stead of filing a suit for recovery of money which is a time consuming process, adjust the security deposit by defaulting in payment of rent.

As per your query it seems that you have already left the premise in november 2010. If it is then you will have to fiel a suit for recovery of money or if you are in possession of premises then act as per advise of Mr. Barman.
