Ni 138 case

one of my dealer has given chq for 1.50L

when same was deposited... it got ret with remarks " ACCOUNTS CLOSED"

can i file NI 138 case against this

If cheque issued after closed a/c , Ans is NO,

Dear Mr.Shroff,

the customer has issued a undated chq 1year ago ... he was not responding though sending lots of communicatioms. and personal visits. he was not paying also he has closed his shop and open new Co later he told to deposit the chq verbally so we deposited the chq. ..return Account closed...

You can file the complaint if the cheque is within its validity.

Yes you can file complaint U/s 138 NI Act after completing all technicalities.
