Hi!
My name is Harsha Vardhan & my surname is Chivikula (as per my records)
There is a mistake in the surname. It should be Chivukula.
My parents certificates, my brothers certificates all carry the surname Chivukula.
The mistake is only in my certificates.
I have read in your website on the procedure to make the correction.
Now, I need to know one thing.
All my certificates (Birth, SSC, Inter, Degree,P.G.,) all have the same name.
Also, My passport, driving licence, pan card, ration card, gas connection, telephone connections, bank accounts etc., will have the old name.
Should I get them all corrected individually? or is there any simple way out.
i had been a resident of A.P. all my life. All my education as well as bank accounts are in A.P. only.

harsha,
once u have change ur name then u need not to correct it individually, when ever require u have to submit the copy of ur change name which appeared in the official gazzete of the state government. along with the affidavit.

Why to adopt all these things at this fag end of career? If a minor mistake is prevalent in your records which even is not visible through open eyes should be tolerated some time more as it do not afect your any civil right.

Though you rectify the mistake by change of name in official gazette and paper publication and then approach all the relevant official to carry out correction on the basis of gazette, Please take the advice of Rajkumar Makkadji. He is practical.
