My father died on 2010, without any will Now my mother wants to do mutation of the property in my name is it possible. I am only son. No brother and no sisters

yes it is possible through transmition of property you may take help of some local lawyer in my sence

Dear Anonymous,
First you have to obtain succession certificate (where your mother's and your name will be shown as the successors to the property left behind by your father) and thereafter your mother has to give a Registered Relinquishment Deed in your favour. Based on both these documents, mutation of the property will be effected in your name.
Needless to say, you may need the assistance of a lawyer to get this done.
