My father in law is staying in a rented flat since last 60 years in Mumabi under the paghadi system.
Now he is 84 years old and mother in law is 77. They are in no position to stay alone in the flat at Mumbai.
We are staying in Ahmedabad.
Can they permanently shift with us in Ahmedabad.We are retaining the rented house, and my husband has power of attorney of my father in law. My query is can my inlaws stay in peace with us without any legal issues.If not what is the solution.
What is the status of the son in the legal right of the rented house after my inl aws.

they can sell the flat . 1/3rd share will go to landlord . in the alternative they can sstay with their son in ahmedabad with you for some time
after your in laws your son can apply to landlord for transfer of tenancy in his name
