Dear friends,
1) Where in Mumbai,a person should apply for getting legal heir certificate?
2) Can a person get legal heir certificate if his expired spouse have money lying(Rs. 80,0000/-)in Pvt Mutual fund not with Govt.

Legal heir or succession certificate can be obtained from the jurisdictional civil court. Whether the money is lying with a private mutual fund company or with the government, succession certificate may be obtained for all assets of the deceased.
