Our house is built on a 30x40 site which is a next a farm house, which is in turn attached to our residential layout approved in BBMP limits. The distance between our house main wall and the farm compound wall is 1¾ feet. The farm compound wall was 5 feet in height before we built the house. When we built the ground floor the farm care taker raised the compound wall by 3 feet depriving us of air and sun light in spite of our requests. Now after 9 years we built the 1st and 2nd floor and also a quest room on the 3rd floor. Now the farm taker threatens to raise the wall again. Her bone of contention is that we have not left 3 feet distance from their compound wall. The farm owner is not approachable as he is out of the country most of the time. The owner might have given the care taker the power of attorney. Kindly advice us as to what legal action can be taken against them because we haven’t been able to settle it amicably.

Nothing to worry, Competent authority cannot give him permission to raise said compound wall. Please check whether he obtained any any permission from the competent authority. Otherwise you can file injunction suit against him if he start additional unauthorized construction.
