Panmaktha lands, mentioned in Wasool Baqui Pahanis, are a type of historical land grant in India, similar to a jagir. These grants, which could also be known as maktha, inam, jagir, or samasthan, specifically referred to grants of a portion of land within a village, as opposed to an entire village. It has been clarified that Panmaktha land is essentially a form of Inam land.
