For any plot of (for example) 2 cents of land ( for example: survey no.1 of village x of Taluk Y of district z of State T) anywhere in India, what are the legal documents the owner of such a land should hold in order to prove that he is the owner of such a land?
What are the registers available with which of the offices of the govt to establish the ownership of the same person over the same plot of land as querried above?

Dear Sir
Thanks for your reply.
Let me hereinafter refer the latest title document(issued by the Registrar of Deeds), as you have mentioned, as(D1).

The "sitta"(in Tamil)(hereinafter referred as D2) issued by the VAO, which contains details of owner's name, survey number, area of the land, name of village, taluk and district with the sign and seal of the VAO, on the form coded as
RF-III-A-27. What is the status of this document, as a secondary proof of ownership of the land, since the same details are found in D1 also?
The "adangal"(in Tamil)(hereinafter referred as D3) issued by the VAO, with sign and seal, also containing the same details as in D1 and D2,on the form coded as RF-III-A-10. What is the status of this document, as a secondary proof of ownership of the land, since the same details are found in D1 and D2?
The "patta"( in Tamil) (hereinafter referred as D4) issued by Headquarters Deputy Tashildar in the Taluk Office, with sign and seal, also containing same details as in D1,D2 and D3, on the form coded as RF -IIIA,305,62,806 MDU. What is the status of this document, as a secondary proof of ownership of the land, since the same details are found in D1, D2 and D3?
As per the first part of my query, the registered owner of a plot of 2 cents of land, ( in the case where the land is located in Tamilnadu) holds 4 unique documents. Viz.,
D1- issued by ROD
D2- issued by VAO
D3- issued by VAO and
D4- issued by Deputy Tashildar
to prove that he is the owner of land bearing a specific survey number.
My query was: what are the legal documents the owner of a piece of land, should hold in order to prove that he is the owner of such a land?
Is that sufficient enough documentary evidence to prove ownership title of a land?
If the answer is yes, let us then proceed to the second part of the query.
