Information from Registration Office.

Dear Experts of the forum,
What is the procedure to be adopted for obtaining the information regarding the registration/s that have taken place over a period; from the registration office? can I, use R T I Act 2005, for the information? Or there is any other set procedure?

This pertains to the state of Andhra Pradesh.

even if u use R.T.I they give u an answer via letter asking u come there and pay neccessary charges for the copies. your application depends on which type of document u r applying for whether public or private

There is access for Verification of Public documents Registered with SRO - You can Apply for EC and CC of Regd Documents /public Documents .You have to pay the required charges.There is no Requirement to Apply under R T I Act

1. You can't use RTI Act 2005 for this purpose
2. If you apply with full stamp duty paid, you will get the answer that what is told in (1) above.
3. Sometimes, you may be advised to apply for EC
4. So, it is only way to apply for EC.
5. For EC, you have to furnish details like survey no, village, Tahsil, etc for agricultural property and Plot no, Layout name, postal address in case of residential and other properties

Approach the District Sub Registrar Office and make an inquiry for searches,Inspections and grant of copies Forms which are available in the Sub registrar office under the rules framed for the purpose. In that Forms you have to filled up for your searches, inspections and grant of copies of registered documents and present it to the Sub Registrar.
