How to rectify the deed if a party is dead?

(Querist) 26 August 2012 This query is : Resolved 
This is with regard to the land documents. The vendor's initial has been typed wrongly on the front page of the seller's document as well as my current document. (only one error). The seller is no more. How can this error be rectified? Can his sons do the same on his behalf? Kindly suggest me.

His legal heirs can rectify the error.
