Haryana land recovery act 1970-query

Sir,

In a department, an employee has not paid an amount i.e 1 lakh which was due from him as house rent(penal recovery)

1. Can we initiate paper to Collector to recover the dues under Haryana Land recovery act 1970.

2. Can we deduct the said amount from the pension of the employee

pls advice and oblige.

No. you cannot take action under the Land Revenue Recovery Act. The Act is applicable to only recovery of dues of land revenue and amounts which are recoverable as arrears of land revenue under the provisions of any Act. Your remedy is by filing a suit in civil court.
