if in a section of an act it is written"for the purposes of this section' how will we interpret it ?what will be the scope keeping in view interpretation of statute

The concerned provision will have to be interpreted on the light of that particular section unless somewhere in the Act some Section is there which directs otherwise and which has got overriding effect.
