First calling to court

Guest (Querist) 13 February 2017 This query is : Resolved
FIR has been filed on me & my family members on 448, 323, 506(1), woman harrasment.
We got call from inspctor stating that charge sheet has been produced in court & we have to appear in court on ..
We have not engaged lawyer so far.
1. Can we directly go present in court without engaging a lawyer at least for first hearing?
2. What is the expected question by judge on first hearing?
Hemant Agarwal (Expert) 13 February 2017
1. Appear in Court, "ONLY" on receiving due "summons" from Court.

2. The Accused /Complainant can appear before the Magistrate /Judge, with or without engaging an Advocate, at any time, subject to ones own capacity and capability.

Keep Smiling .... Hemant Agarwal

Are you on the bail / anticipatory bail?

It is better to engage an Advocate.
