our grandfather got 8 acrs land by way rigistered partition in 1953. he had one son (dob 1943) and one daughter(dob 1926).daughters marriage got over in 1953. grandfather died in 1971 and his property transfered to his sons name in 1973 by pavathi badalavane. after that his son purchased 15 acrs land in his own earnings, can my mother claim the share in entire property.

if a husband alive, his wife has no right over the self acquired or ancestral property. if a husband of a hindu wife died intestate, his wife has right over the property besides the other legal heirs.

thank u for advice, iam further breifing that his daughter in the above case is my mother can get share in his brothers property
