he can write to human right commission or meet to senior polise officers , or M .P. OR M.L.A. IF DONT WANT TO GO FOR anticipatory bail .

find out whether the FIR has been registered or not, because once the FIR is registered then the police will not be in a position to withdraw the matter....every action will be subject to the direction of the court.

if the matter is still at complaint stage then try to find out some amicable solution to the dispute, take help of some friends and elders....once the matter goes to the court then u may ve face trial.

well, it is a complex senario which is a day-to-day problem, the recourse is only to the judicial authority, first u have to check out whether an FIR has been launched or not, if yes then u may approach the nearest magistrate under section 220 of the IPC, as the police is supporting the lady, and ask for a restrain order in the form of conditional bail, under the provisions of CRPC.

Find the copy of FIR and approach to High court to quash the FIR.

Better settle the things amicably with the intervention of some common relations.

Go to High Court u/s 482 for transfering of investigation to some other agency.

Defend the allegation in the court.
