Fake currency notes with common man

If someone unknowingly gets fake currency note/s during normal course of dealing with people, what should be done by that person so that he does not get falsely accused of counterfeiting etc.

if the unknowingly got the fake currency note, after that he knowing this note has fake, immediately inform the police station,

As mere knowledge, that the note is fake, is enough and neither motive nor intention required for the prosecution.

Dear,
The experts are right,but being a good citizen,if you want to inform police, approch the higher police authorities safely along with the District magistrate of your district . The safety precautions are must else just for showing a good work, they can falsly implicate you .
