Facing problems in property

(Querist) 02 July 2012 This query is : Resolved
I am a widow. My husband dies this year leaving me, my son and my daughter. We stay at a flat in Kolkata which was bought by my husband 15 years ago. In my building there are 4 flats. 3 of them are owned by one Bengali family and 1 flat by me. Now this family wants us to leave this property for ever by selling to them. They have also kept a gate under lock and key which is a common passage and also a gate falling in my part of flat. They have also told me not to use the main gate. Besides this they have filed a criminal case against us saying that I always use to return to my flat at night and also my son use to create bad situation by drinking alchohol which is just a bogus. Please help and tell me what to do. I am a widow without any support.

They cannot simply coerce you into vacating the flat legally bought by your late husband according to their whims and fancies by locking the common passage gate nor usage of the main gate. File a case against the other owners, consult a local lawyer who can do the needful.

As above. File a case against them and get an injunction.
